Dear Parent/Guardian:

 

The City of Burlington Schools’ community portal allows parents to view their child’s attendance and grading information online. To receive your username and password, email ahaynes@burlington-nj.net or call 387-5800 for the Burlington City High School and pjones@burlington-nj.net or call 387-8026 ext. 5945 for the Burlington City Junior School. If you received a username for the 2006-07 school year, you must obtain a new one due to a system upgrade that occurred this summer.

 

To access the program:

1. Visit our homepage at www.burlington-nj.net.

2. Scroll down and click on Community Portal.

 

To login, click the login button. Enter your login information (remember that it is case sensitive); then click Parent tab. Give it a moment to download the information.

At the top of the page, a list of your child’s classes will be displayed. For grades PK- 12, you can view your child’s daily/homeroom attendance. For grades 7-12, you can click under the status column and check your child’s class period attendance. Class period attendance is posted by 3:00 pm daily. For grades 1 – 12, you can click on the assignments link to view class assignments. Scroll to the bottom and you can view your

child’s grading information. You will be able to click on the marking period grade link and view assignments and grades that determined the final marking period evaluation. To email your child’s teacher, click on the teacher’s name and the system will automatically address the email to the teacher. Before logging out for the first time, I strongly recommend that you change your password. The password must be at least five characters. Do not give your password to anyone. If you feel that someone has discovered your password, change it immediately. When finished make sure you click on the logout button.
